Administrative Agenda and Reports
The role of the surgeon in the management of surgical conditions has dramatically changed in the last decade. New knowledge in the etiology, management, complications and prognosis has change how we treat common conditions at the community and tertiary care centers levels. As a result, the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American College of Surgeons is committed to provide education at both levels. In addition, the Chapter’s membership consists of general surgeons, as well as, members of several subspecialties. Therefore, we developed a comprehensive program that provides all members important information for their surgical practices. The mission of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American College of Surgeons is to promote excellence in the surgical care in the island. Thus, the meeting provides the perfect venue to fulfill our mission in a broader audience.
